But has that situation with, with regulation and with general investigation into these things also improved? There, there's more-- Is there more transparency?

I think...

Oh, goodness, uh, transparency.

I do think, uh, investigations have tightened up.

At the same time, just as a reporter, it's become in some ways more, more difficult, for example, to gather information about particular mine disasters, but also to gather statistics about what is happening in mine and industrial safety in general.

So at the same time as there being more transparency in some ways, in other ways, the government wants to control the story more than ever.

And I think we saw it with this, um, how the, uh, this most recent mine disaster was reported as well.

W-what does that report then from, uh, the quoting of Xi Jinping himself, what, what does that tell you then about how this is being viewed?

[laughs]

But like, like you know when you've got your... you've got every s- single era of Star Wars LEGO in one bucket and you just dump it out, and Darth Vader's playing with, like, uh, like young Anakin Skywalker.

Like, it doesn't matter, right? It's just that fun toy thing, and that's, that's sort of what we were going for, those, sort of that fun nod to all those great moments.

And, uh, yeah, it was, it was a ton of fun, and it was, it was really cool to be... 'Cause I was a part of the, like, the script punch up, where you get in a room and if, they bring in some writers, they bring in comedians and it's all about getting the script funnier and, and, and beats and moments and, and s- injecting that kind of stuff.

Like, well, what if, well, what if this character and this character meet? And you're like, "Yes, that would be so hilarious as a Star Wars fan." And some of it doesn't make it in 'cause that's how production works, but some of it does, and it's, I think it's really exciting to see.

So can you maybe talk, uh, to us a little bit about your work on The Last Jedi and maybe some of the distinctions between your work as an animator versus your role as a director, and like, do you, does your brain ever have to cross over there or, you know, maybe talk to us about that a little bit.

Yeah, totally.
