There's a couple of folks around here that, man, they're faster than the cars going down the street.

Volkswagen is jumping on board.

They've partnered with a company called N+.

And they've just unveiled an entire range of new e-bikes that are coming out later this year.

The average price is going to be about $4,000 and then goes up.

Lots of lots of add-on features as well.

So that's not going to be the bottom price at the end of the day.

These are actually the opposite of that, I guess, because they're definitely not

Chris Abel, Trail Staff Director at the Northern Tier Scout Base, was in charge of logistics and communication for the evacuation.

was monday we had a meeting in the morning and that's when we kind of got the news that hey we need to start we need to start getting stuff in motion so we very quickly came up with plans of how to what to do with current crews that were on base and how to what to do with them and then how to get crews off so we one of the first things we did was made a what we called ended up dubbing the incident command center uh upstairs in our dining hall and From up there, that's where I was posted up, kind of running.

Every time, any time a crew got off of the water, we had them drop their canoes at our canoe yard and go straight to us so we could keep an active running list of who exactly was on base.

When we started, we had about 50 crews out on the water.

I don't know the exact number.

And by the end of Monday...

We had 14 or 15 crews left out there, so we had a little over 30 crews get off of the water, plus the six that were there that were supposed to regularly get there that day.

Blown by strong winds and threatening the inhabitants along the road, the fire could also cut off the only escape route from the scout base.

It's time for us to dig into it.

Yeah.

So I'm happy to say that a school here in Ontario is a first.

Fletcher Creek Senior Public School is the first school that's going to use virtual reality as part of their shop class.

so the first set of great aiders have gone in and before they get to touch any of the machines before they use a lathe to make their first center hole punch before they use you know a drill press to create a piece of wood turn it into a wall clock they're gonna have to first put on some virtual reality headsets and spend the first set of weeks learning to live in a virtual machine shop where it's safe now to turn on all the machines and see what is a good setting and what is a bad setting and how to learn to do things like the safety dance and the different steps, how to make sure that you get into the ritual of putting on your safety glasses, before you actually start up those machines.

I think this is a fantastic idea.

So this is the first school that is doing this.

We're getting more of them though.

What do you got?

Well, what we have is Apple giving new announcements at the Worldwide Developers Conference.

It's an annual event in which they showcase all the new things happening in software.

So you don't get new phones or hardware, but you do get to find out what's coming to our phones.

And so this year it's all about artificial intelligence, as you may expect.

What's interesting, though, is that Apple is taking Google's artificial intelligence.

They're saying they took the underlying technology behind Google's Gemini, and then they've taken it to make their own improvements with Apple Intelligence.

Um, we're climbing mountains now?
