Her first birth was eight and a half years ago and she touched us slightly on that.

She was low risk until 38 weeks and then she started getting itching and was diagnosed with obstetric cholestasis.

They also thought she may have had preeclampsia but she was under a lot of pressure to be induced and she was induced at 30 plus three.

She had quite a strong reaction to the induction and although she was progressing quickly they couldn't get a good reading on her son's heart rate so they ended up going for an emergency c-section.

I sort of knew what it was.

I'd obviously had to quit Google like people do.

And so I knew that obstetric cholestasis was on the radar.

But at the same time, yeah, probably against my bare judgment, I didn't mention it to the midwife.
