Cho'Gath

We'll get to that when we get to it.

Extremely tight high-level Game 1 in this one, where we once again got to see the Cho'Gath Jungle attempted and failed.

Um, that's going to be, that was a theme of last weekend.

I think this pick is sort of becoming a little bit of bait.

So he's sort of a trump card that forces the other team to switch directions in drafts.

So he's kind of like, it's literally like we're playing like spades or something, and he's trumps, like whatever the trump suit is, right? Well, spades, it's spades.

But in other trump card games, it's like the trump card that flips the script, right? So that's kind of how Cho'Gath should be used.

That's how Anivia used to be used.

Anyway, didn't really end up mattering because G2 just straight up outplayed everything from the third dragon fight on this game and took this one as well to force a match point early.

Game 3 we saw Vitality try their hand at the Cho'Gath.

This time...

It was a last-pick counterpick, so they had all the information.

And, you know, Kana and Yoich just didn't get quite enough going despite their best efforts.

I think this probably could have gone either way, but G2 just maneuvered better and stabilized for Hans and LeBron to eventually 2v8 later in this game.

Cho'Gath bait strikes again.

Ends up playing the Varus, which is his weakest game, but Cuz and BDD just couldn't...

That was a classic BDD-Cuz loss right there with the Cho'Gath syndrome, where Cuz just kind of kept walking into... bad situations and pillar setups and dying.

Um, and then they put him on the Calista in game four, right? Or he's four, six and two.

And that game was kind of close.

I mean, this one and Cousin BDD, like, when they're on a good day, they can carry anybody across the line.

It could be me in the AD carry, and they could still win, I feel like.

But on their worst days and on their shaky days, like... you know, you get that Cho'Gath game from Cuz, which was an abomination.

So...

But beyond that, it's like we ...

Teams are playing like champions like Cho'Gath, for example, uh, and, uh, you have, um, a, a step away from the Sun Tzu Sky junglers, which I think is a benefit to, to, to IG.

And I think on top of the fact that they are willing to play anything bot lane, 'cause Meiko looks good on ranged supports, also on the melee supports, uh, he looks very just in form.

Like, there's nothing really that stands out as, uh, "Oh, this is something that they can't play." And I think in BO5s, just the fact that it is BO5s, uh, I'm, I'm, I'm feeling very confident in the regional.

And, uh, with the meta shift for Canyon in particular, we see, uh, junglers just building full lethality, uh, which is just allows you to power farm way faster, but also, uh, you know, relies on you mechanically to play really good in team fights, which is exactly what Canyon is doing.

He is stealing, uh, objective with the smites and, uh, he is, uh, playing more farm-oriented junglers.

With Sundered Sky being nerfed, we see a lot more like Wukong, Cho'Gath.

We saw his lethality Jarvan, we see the lethality Lee Sin.

He had more of an archetype very similar to someone like Inspire that was very precise with his clear and wouldn't deviate too much to create risk.

But now Schumann has kind of leaned into the other segment because that Cho'Gath game, for example, was completely lost by Schumann.

There's no other way to put it.

And I do think that we saw glimpses of that pain that G2 experiencing the regular split coming into this one.

There's a really excellent Taliyah wall from Zekka in this one.

I love the Cho'Gath angle in draft to kind of blind Cho.

It wasn't blind Cho, but it was Cho without knowing the carry, and it kind of forced a hyper carry draft from T1.

They had to pick something that could range and deal damage to it, and the AD carry pool had been chipped down quite a bit, so they couldn't play utility carry into this.

We're like, what the hell is this? And it worked.

We saw the Cho'Gath, and we're like, can this work? We saw the Nasus.

We saw...

Again, Taliyah bot.

I was like, all right, Canic Rooker, it's not really hitting that hard.
