Right.

'Cause we have some pages and stuff.

But because a, a lot of people are drawing on bigger boards or, it just takes a l- uh, takes a little longer than it does take for two comics.

So we did wanna ...

We were behind the eight ball on a couple of projects, so we wanted to, um, we wanted to, um, make sure that we had some, uh, time and we had those in the can.

So like Mischief and Magpies, which came out yesterday, all three issues are done.

Uh, so all three issues are done before, uh, before the printing.

Mm.

What about you, Chip? What was your first digital comic? And how did it make your heart feel?

Oh, gosh.

You know, I think, you know, I feel like I'm about to merge in my old man Mosier stories.

So going back to that first San Diego Comic-Con in 1994, I was part of like an online, it was like a, startup company online entertainment portal called eden.com that was associated with the adhesive comics group, which, uh, was a group in Austin, Texas that did too much coffee, man.

And, uh, even.com took a, took its name from the Eden matrix comic, which was, which was, uh, not well known, but the first, uh, Photoshop colored comic, um, uh, uh, came out like 92 or 93 or something like that.

And, and I, um, I started doing, uh, what was called, uh, digital ash cans for that company.

And, uh, we, um, we were doing some independent comics and some other comics and, uh, And that came out of some work.

That's all hopefully going to be a whole shining part of the Neon Ichiban experience.

Can you talk to me about how a digital comic is considered collectible?

David, do you mind if I just jump in here before you talk about that? Go for it.

So the first thing I want to make clear is Neon Ichiban is a fantastic reading experience.

We do a lot of things that are very different than any other digital comics platform.

And so I just don't want to lose sight of the fact that we have the best comic reading experience out there.

David, who's on the podcast with me, is kind of the father of great digital comics reading.

And he and the team here at Neon Ichiban, he's probably blushing now if this was video.

Sometimes it's good when you have paper, and sometimes it's not.

I'm from Kentucky, buddy, so Paducah, Kentucky is great.

If you're in Paducah, Kentucky, and you're not going to travel to New York Comic Con to get a signed and sketched Watchmen, from from uh dave gibbons then you can do it on the on ichiban and it's yours and then you could resell it if you wanted or if you keep it and we'll soon uh you know we'll have the capability soon for people to show off their collections uh i don't think i'm i'm gonna i don't think that's like the a newsbreaker but um yeah and so it's really to me it's really not there's an accessibility aspect for the fan which opens up a whole new world because going to conventions when i was a kid I have this jam piece I put on Facebook, right? And I got it in 1986.

And I was like, you know, a punk kid with not a lot of money.

Mike Zek's at the table and he did a Punisher for me for free.

And then Cary Gamble's sitting next to him and he did a Captain America looking scared.

And he's like, hey, Mike, draw some bullet holes.

And Mike drew some bullet holes.
