So any interested person, I'm always there to help.

And, you know, Vikram, it's a special grace, I guess, of the Almighty for us, really, because when I first spoke to Dr. Jain, after getting a referral from somebody at Chinmaya that I know, you know, they recommended that I reach out to Dr. Jain.

And when I spoke to her, she said, oh, I get a lot of podcast people calling me, but I don't usually go out there and do many of these things.

But she kind of gave us a little bit, I guess, a benefit of doubt, if anything, that, you know, we were local here.

Well, I deeply honor the work that you're doing.

I'm also a member of Chinmaya Mission for the last 13 years and a student of Vedanta myself for 40 years now.

So what you're doing, trying to bust the myths and uphold sanatana dharma and spread the true teachings of Vedanta, I mean, that there's nothing more precious, more noble, more beautiful, no work that can top the work that you're doing.

The Ceremony of Light, traditionally performed on the River Ganges in India, now staged in London on a scale organisers say has rarely been attempted in Britain.

It's been held by the Chinmaya Mission in the UK to mark 75 years since the organisation's founding, with illuminated lamps offered to the river at dusk, accompanied by chanting and music against the backdrop of the old Royal Naval College.

know I've just mentioned that this marks also the 75th anniversary of the Chinmaya mission.

Can you tell us a little bit about your founder and why his teachings for you still resonate today?

And meditation, what does you gain by meditation? It becomes the destroyer of your pain, sorrow.

See that self-effacement.

Someone asked, "Gurudev, are you the head of Chinmaya Mission?" He said, "No, I'm the tail." [audience laughing] He said, "No." This is called self-effacement.

Very clear, I'm not the head.

I'm only a servant of the Lord.

His guru was one of the greatest teachers of Vedanta in those days, a long way back in the '40s, '30s, '40s, '50s, 1930s, '40s, '50s.

Uh, he was, in fact, his guru was Tapovan Maharaj, who was the guru of Swami Chinmayananda, who established the Chinmaya Mission.

So that Tapovan Maharaj, very well-known, great Vedanta teacher, but very strict.

So, um, Sundaranandaji told me that, uh, because I was not very studious, I didn't know Sanskrit, and I was not very studious.

Best guru.

Even there's a story about Swami Chinmayananda.

And some of you may have heard his name, the Chinmaya Mission, which is there all worldwide now.

Um, almost at the end of his training, and this, this, um, Swami told me.
