So I think for me, coming back to Philly, I interviewed at some groups in the southeast.

My wife was still here finishing fellowship at CHOP.

And I think it's a big reason why people end up staying within 50 miles of where they train a large majority of the time.

Well, while we were on the eyebrow-raising story beat, the Wall Street Journal last week had a story about Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman, he of the hoodies and shorts, apparently not being all that interested in senatoring these days.

Among the anecdotes in the story, all of which were provided by former staffers involved, is one where he declined to meet with the folks from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, which is not just one of the top children's hospitals in the country, it's one of the top hospitals in the country.

They wanted to talk about Medicaid cuts.

He reportedly said he wasn't worried about Medicaid cuts and they were just looking for an excuse to visit Washington.

And one of the leading vaccine researchers in the country and someone who's very good at explaining things.

One particularly damaging allegation, that John Fetterman reportedly canceled a meeting with paralyzed veterans because he said he was sick, then appeared on Fox News shortly afterwards.

Another allegation involving Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where John Fetterman reportedly questioned why he needed to meet with hospital officials concerning Medicaid cuts and vaccines.

John Fetterman has strongly rejected all these allegations and calling the reporting lies, half-truths, innuendos, smears, and anonymous claims from disgruntled former staffers.

What's really going on here? They're turning on him in the Democratic Party.
