Cheyenne Frontier Days

a customer or a passenger standing on that and on that platform on that end scale car and you look up at the ceiling you will see two lights there too that also illuminate the platform so if you wanted to put any executives there or anything like that you can do so this is the shield version of the car that we're looking at here but we are building some with lighted drum heads so it's another lighting feature that we're adding on to the car as well so if you ever look at videos of some of the up excursion cars and excursion concepts You will notice that right where the UP shield is on the railings there, that will occasionally be covered over with a drumhead of a particular train.

If you ever want to look at many different examples of what I'm talking about, if you look up any of the Cheyenne Frontier train days, Cheyenne Frontier Days trains from the 2009-2010 up until 2018-2019 or so, you will see many different versions of those drumheads that have been used.

More recently, the Big Boy Tour in 2019 had a special drumhead.

The Big Boy Tour just recently going across the country, the Marco Polo had a special drum head on the back of that car.

Well, it also comes back to when you've been there, done that, it changes everything.

When you look at the eyes of judging from someone who has judged, let's say you're in Cheyenne and you've got Frontier Days and you've got all these people watching you, you at the end of the day have to be happy with what you decided yourself.

Right.

Oh, that it would be the toughest part.

And in my mind, that's rodeo.

I spent a couple of years coming out of college working in local TV and covering rodeo in Wyoming, the college national finals and Cheyenne Frontier Days.

And there's an interesting thing when you go to rodeo events where they say the prayer.

There's an expectation that when you roll up, you got your cinch button down shirt, you got your hat, you got your jeans and boots.

And oh, by the way, well, what about the people, the Hall of Fame at Colorado Springs? Let me tell you something.

More people will walk in front of the Hall of Fame during the Cheyenne Frontier Days than they ever do at Colorado Springs.

So all of these people that I see that are saying, well, now this is not good for some of the employees that want to live in Colorado Springs.

But Colorado Springs is country is crunchy.

And so he was the commentator, always talking about stuff.

And then I grew up working the rodeo at Cheyenne Frontier Days where Lane Frost was killed in 1989.

Now, Lane Frost was inducted into the Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2008.

But if you know anything about Lane Frost, his best friend, Tuff Hederman, who he's the one that developed the vests that everyone wears now as a rodeo rider, as a bull rider.

Not even at Frontier Days we didn't run into each other, Jared.

That was weird.

Yeah.

Um, uh, did a lot of, uh, you know, just little three day, four day weekends, golf tournaments around the state and the area and stuff like that.

Um, other than that, uh, and then of course, frontier days and did the black Hills roundup up in my hometown of Belfouche, um, over the 4th of July and saw family.

Awesome.
