Chevrolet Volt

Lots of benefits to having the load separated from the generator.

Yeah, that sounds like a series hybrid, right? I remember like when the Chevy Volt came out and they were like, well, you know, the wheels are running off the battery and there's a gasoline engine in the back that's sort of like, you know, charging the battery.

And eventually that gasoline engine could be replaced with a fuel cell or it could be replaced with something else, right? Like ultimately it's just, you know, recharging the battery.

That's like super interesting to me.

It was like a LA.

It was like a Chevy, Chevy Volt in LA.

Yeah, we just grabbed breakfast-

So, I mean, and...

It was a Chevy Volt that I had.

I think it was a Chevy Volt.

Is that a car? Oh, Volt.

You had a Volt.

Isn't that one of his coolest cars? I date him back to the Fisker Karma, which I think was like the 2000s, which is a car that asked, what if the exhaust outlet was directly in front of the driver's window? But it was also, was it a plug-in hybrid? Because it wasn't an EV at first.

I thought it was a Volt powertrain.

I thought that it was a, there's been a whole bunch of versions.

I'm pretty sure there have been plug-in full EV and V8 versions of the Fisker.

And that was the four pages I saw.

And nowadays, she has a 2013 Chevy Volt, the electric hybrid.

Kind of scares me what my 2025 is going to have.

Yeah.

And as a parts guy, wow.

As a parts person, their job is tough.

I mean, hey, I'm looking for a water pump for my Chevy Volt.

Oh, okay.

But what you get is not what they tell you.

Um, now my opinion on the Chevy Volt, uh, is irrelevant really.

I mean, it's a good car.

It's a reliable car.

So I, I just didn't drive again after that, you know? Um, there was a couple times where I was, uh, like, running from the cops or something, and, like, I got behind the wheel.

Or, uh, one time, uh, when I was going to cop with this kid that I knew, uh, he had a, he had a Chevy Volt, which was a great little ride.

You know, it was the first, uh, full electric on the market.

Uh, because you had the option to, like, switch it to, like, gas too.
