Chevrolet S-10 Blazer

I don't want the same questions you always get.

You know, I mean, I've been in the paint shop this week, so I guess, you know, I would look back to when I, I did an S10 Blazer, and I was, uh, getting it painted.

So I did all the bodywork, and then I-

Uh-huh

if you want, like, if you guys wanna have a real, real nice build in there, but it's on- They had like 125 trucks inside and 50 outside, and then that was only, like, the first day.

Yeah, I mean, it's, it's not, there's not a lot of people.

Oh, wow.

... either way, you've been doing this a long time.

When you look back, you guys...

I feel like you guys kinda started off with the Tri-Five, uh, Apache-style trucks, Task Force era, if you will, and then you kinda continued to evolve very aggressively throughout the, you know, the truck market.

Would you agree? Is that how you guys kinda started things out?

And that probably bred a little bit of insecurity, right? You know, they were all getting new F-150s whenever they turned 16.

And I had a piece of shit 1987 Chevy S10 Blazer.

And so I think that insecurity, funny enough, probably like motivated me and fueled my success, right? Because I didn't like the feeling of being the poor kid.

So talking about growing up with a single mom, I grew up with a single mom.

And I think the people who owned them really kind of loved them.

But the S10 Blazers, there was a day... like dinosaurs where they roam the earth.

You couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting an S-10 blazer.

And they were great.

Honestly, I'm not sure I can really go along with the parameters of the way the initial Cash for Clunkers program went.

Now, I know...

Because I drove by a lot of General Motors dealers, and they had, like I said earlier, they had mowed the next-door neighbor's lot or cleaned off their lot so that they could store all the S10 Blazers and Chevy trucks and everything that was traded in for this.

And some of them had 50 to 100 different cars that got traded in.
