In that year, self-admittedly, this man named Charles Kennard from Chestertown, Maryland, he says, oh, yeah, it was the year 1886.

No mention of what was in the newspapers, which was illustrated talking board articles.

Okay.

And I thought, you know, it would be much easier to point to the alphabet on a board than it would, you know, trying to interpret the scrawl or the tippings.

And in that year, I came up with this fantastic, totally original idea that wasn't in all the newspaper headlines, the talking board, you know.

And so he creates a few in Chestertown, Maryland, sells them locally.

It says it's very popular.
