Lake City Mayor Cheryl Sellers-Seger has sued City Administrator Pat Smith, Planning Commission Chair Craig Artis, and City Clerk Robin Niles, arguing their roles may violate the city charter.

The lawsuit has divided the city council with opponents warning it could disrupt city operations and development projects and potentially cost the city significantly if the case is unsuccessful.
