Chernobyl

And, you know, actually, this is so random.

This made me think of do you ever watch the show Chernobyl? No.

It was a fantastic HBO series.

If you haven't watched it, watch it.

Speaking

of films and or media where British people are playing people of other races, something a little more modern is, has anybody seen Chernobyl

here? No.

I've seen clips on YouTube, but I've heard very good things.

So I just binged it last Sunday because my roommate was like, have you watched Chernobyl yet? Because he's big in movies and things like that, too, even though it's not what he went to school for.

And I was like, I remember seeing stuff about it and I hadn't watched it.

He had me watch the first three episodes, five episodes on HBO.

That leads me to believe that this might be maybe a little more Honor Among Thieves in tone than like, uh, you know, dark horror necessarily, but like with a spooky vibe, but still for kids.

You know what I mean? But he also, for folks who are interested in knowing this, uh, during COVID, I think in 2020, John August put up a series of videos on his YouTube channel of Craig Mazin from The Last of Us and Chernobyl fame doing a tutorial on Roll20 about running Curse of Strahd, which is kind of incredible pedigree, uh, for the fact that John August now has the responsibility of, uh, producing and writing this TV show.

So obviously a fan of D&D in some respect, and he's joined in the executive producing by Alfonso Cuaron, who dir- was the director of Gravity, Children of Men, which is a little bit more of a grim kind of movie.

Harry Potter, The Prisoner of Azkaban, he directed, uh, and also Roma, which is a Netflix film that was apparently its first Oscar nod for something that was a non-documentary.

And then there are those one-season wonders, things that I haven't watched before, but maybe I've got into more recently.

So Chernobyl is a phenomenal piece of television.

I mean, possibly the greatest one-season wonder there is, actually.

I think when I saw that recently, it just blew me away.

I love that one.

It only lasted one season.

I guess Chernobyl was one season.

That was a really good show.

That's kind of like a long movie.

The one that had the highest rating is a great show called Chernobyl, which was an HBO show.

I don't know if you ever saw Chernobyl.

It was great.
