PeterHOST

So he's putting on a whole show.
PeterHOST
49:13
But during all this, Chekhov's little tiny knife comes into play because the roommate gave her this lipstick that's actually a knife, and she's able to get to it from her cage and unscrew, and she lets the influencer out.
PeterHOST
49:31
The other guy's unconscious, and she can't... open the lock so it's like i'll come back for you i promise um but the influencer gets really agitated because the main character margo is like trying to get evidence from the guy's computer and she's like finding all the original files she's finding records and like like concept art and drawings and storyboards of the scenes including some stuff of her so she's like shit so she grabs this external hard drive But the influencer got lazy, or got restless rather, during all this, and decided to smash her way out of a back patio window, which of course the killer hears, and he comes running in with a sniper rifle and shoots her in the side.
PeterHOST
50:11
So she gets put down, and then there's a whole bit of cat and mouse with Margot, there's some fighting off, there's some hiding... she has to hide at one point in his set where all the mannequins are set up and she's like behind like the plastic curtain pretending to be a mannequin with the hat on uh which is an okay scene you know it's a typical tense just try and be quiet the killer's stalking you scene which i always the funny thing about these scenes though is they always really over emphasize how loud the breathing is because i feel like if i actually try and be quiet like this I'm perfectly quiet.

The idea that if you show something, it should be meaningful to the plot.

Where your buddies live, I'd need better technology and a team of experts.
JennyHOST
57:09
But for the better.
TedHOST
57:11
I really liked how we got the count of Chekhov's bullets early in the chapter, and then they go unshot.
TedHOST
57:18
It kind of fits with the sort of, like, anti-climax of the Nine getting away.
JennyHOST
57:21
Ooh, true.

48:25
That's...
Morgan Peter BrownHOST
48:27
As we all know, it's a Chekhovian laxative.
Morgan Peter BrownHOST
48:29
You introduce a laxative in act one, someone's taking a poop in

act three.
LesHOST
2:34
And, and it's, it's what drives the...
LesHOST

Nothing kicks off till the second act, so you really need to kinda know it's coming to enjoy the Chekhov's Gun setups.
LesHOST

We're gonna...
Evan JohnsHOST
12:34
Like, very Chekhov's Gun to them.
BooHOST
12:36
Well, that, and also sounds like it's a reference back to Jetfire.
Evan JohnsHOST
12:40
Oh, that is very true.
Christian EstabrookHOST
21:13
And it's, like, saved.
Christian EstabrookHOST
21:15
It's the, you know, Chekhov's giant, you know, prehistoric snake, and then it finally comes back, you know, later in the film.
Christian EstabrookHOST
21:22
Uh, great touch.
Christian EstabrookHOST
21:23
Like, [laughs] that, like, that, that stuff, like, really works.
Alex SteedHOST
68:54
Like, g- just put some water in your mouth.
Alex SteedHOST
68:56
Also, I didn't see the pills as being our Chekhov's Gun in this movie, so it's pretty clever.
Ryan KenGUEST
69:01
Yeah.
Alex SteedHOST

[laughs]
SamHOST
84:47
He knew there was a gun check.
SamHOST
84:49
Uh, we kind of have a Chekhov's Gun set up because Wax talks about the, uh, the, uh, cuff links.
SamHOST
84:56
Um, so it's kinda set up.
SamHOST
84:59
Um, I think Wax at the party, the party, some bad shit will happen 'cause it always happens every time Wax is in a location.
