Chaz Lanier

Did you think of anybody else? This was my one spot.

I got Chaz Lanier's name into the conversation based off what we saw from Summer League.

I think if you were truly going five out, you're not going to put him in over Isaiah Joe or Duncan Robinson.

But if you're missing one of those guys and they truly get in a situation where they want to really space the floor, we did see that from Summer League.

Wes had Cade, Robinson, Torian, Prince, Duren, and Reed, or Reed-Duren, whichever direction you wanted to go with that.

And then our last one was the all-development lineup, getting the young guys out on the court.

I went Abuka, Corey, Danis Jenkins, Chaz Lanier, Ron Holland, Tolu Smith.

That is the lineup I would like to see.

I mean, I don't even know if he's going to get much minutes at all.

uh, Ron Holland and Chaz Lanier.

Chaz Lanier is another question mark.

Is he going to actually be utilized this year? What Chaz Lanier and Gary Harris question marks for me, but Isaiah Joe obviously is going to be huge for this team.

Ron Holland going to be a huge piece of this team and Kevin Herter.

It will be interesting to see if Kevin Herter can have more of an impact this year.

A, a, a full three.

Like he's had, uh, Dalton Connect and, you know, Chaz Lanier and, and guys like that who've really been able to come in there and give him buckets, but to have three dudes like that, uh, i- is rare for him.

But at the same time it's, it's three transfers, um, three guys who come from non-winning programs.

You know what I mean? So like how much of that has been empty calories for him? We'll find out.

0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks, which gets us to a total of seven and a half points for Taurean Prince, two and a half rebounds, one assist, 65 three-point makes, 0.6 steals, 0.2 blocks.

It, it is kinda interesting to just see the numbers here before we get to the final three players with Chaz Lanier, Tolu Smith, and Gary Harris.

Just kind of, I mean, we have all of these players, Omari, Ebuka Okoroh at six points to John Collins at 13 and a half.

I believe that would be, what? We've done 13 players.

They're just gonna be a more balanced offense overall, so it should go up.

We'll see, but I think just looking at the roster, you would, you expect the offense to be a little bit better.

Uh, rebounds for me, I'll say one for Chaz Lanier and Gary Harris.

And then I'll go, I'll go three for Tolu Smith.

Everyone has a take a jump type of player.

And notice how I didn't list players like Kobe Brea and Chaz Lanier, because that's the level that I think most people believe Will Richard is going to land on when it's all said and done.

Not an all-star.

Maybe able to hang around the league.

But there is a real element of like, cap space was a serious part of this and you made moves to open up cap space but ultimately it was just to like fit in certain um things like you know certain contracts that we already knew you were giving out um to be under the first apron so it's just it's a bit of a waste in my opinion

yeah i mean cap flexibility is only valuable if you actually use it correct I actually had Chaz Lanier in here because I just don't see a world where he cracks rotation.

And it kind of sucks because I thought he had a pretty decent summer league, especially that one game where he was like a flamethrower.

It seemed like he couldn't miss.

An example of leaving on good terms and school claiming, I think, would be an obvious jump to a higher level.

Like, North Florida, I think, is well within its right to claim Chaz Lanier.

They understood he was leaving to go to Tennessee.

So, no hard feelings.
