in the top three rosé producers in the world and the company that owns Whispering Angel, Chateau d'Atclan, owned by Louis Vuitton, Moet, Hennessy, they, you know, it just, it still blows my mind and my friends were, yeah, the celebration was incredible.

People in the industry actually didn't believe it.

There was a, there was like, there was just such a, there was a bit of like, this cannot, this is kind of, you know, And again, I didn't realise that New Zealand, you know, there are a couple of companies that have sort of specialised in rosé to a point, but really the level and the detail and the amount of work that we're doing that had gone into making this rosé and having the best winemakers and all of the things that we were doing was really unique.

He was looking at what was happening, like Sacha Lachine, 20 years ago now, created Whispering Angel, which really put Provence on the map.

And Provence-Saint-Rosé now is probably the go-to.

And I remember in 1998, the last eclipse, I remember I saw down in the South France, my brother was working in a place called La Ciotat.

But in those days, it was just sitting down on the seafront drinking, you know, rustic.

rosés with amazing fish stews and all these, you know, it's like, it's the dream down there, you know, sitting on the side of a, you know, the side of the ocean or the Mediterranean Sea in this case, just, you know, sipping rosé, like, you know, lovely.

And Sartre Le Chien, seven years later, created Whispering Angel, which was kind of his entry-level wine for Chateau d'Escalade.

And he was from Bordeaux originally.

that's how we all got in.

So since you're standing there and they give you Loverboy and like Whispering Angel, like whatever.

Yeah.

And like, you're getting to know everyone outside the gate.

So anyway, I made a remarkable recovery.

And I can only say the staff there, there was one nurse to 13 beds.
