And of course, the book club have been reading Nova Scotia House this month, but for the uninitiated, I wonder if we could kick off with you introducing the premise of the book.

Yeah, sure.

So it is a book that is about...

I mean, it's kind of about what's called the AIDS crisis.

Um, the AIDS crisis is still ongoing, but, um, this is actually looking at the, the time before the introduction of antiretrovirals, um, before there was the possibility of living a full life with, um, HIV.

And what I wanted to do was to see if I could connect back with, um, alternative ways of living, uh, countercultural ways of, like, existing that were jeopardized by what happened during these years of the AIDS crisis.

And, and, and, and they were jeopardized because people had to suddenly protest or fight to survive.

Mm-hmm.
