Okay, but what about, but what about Charlie Hebdo, huh?

Yeah.

Heb- Hebdo.

I think they ultimately settled to avoid getting a big judgment against him.

And the day that he was fired was the Charlie Hebdo massacre, where Islamic radicals stormed into the publication Charlie Hebdo in Paris and chopped off the heads of all the people who worked in the office for daring to publish a picture of the prophet Muhammad.

So that all happened that day.

I was in seminary that, that afternoon.

But Charlie, I bet you remember that.

The, the, the people were furious with me for comparing, uh, the, the, the angry, uh, lesbian fire captain getting the fire chief fired for, uh, just saying basic Christian theology to what happened with Charlie Hebdo.

And, and I said at the, at the time that, uh, the difference between the progressive left and the Muslims is the sword, that, uh, the, the left in the country just wants to destroy the lives of Christians, and the Islamic radicals want to take the lives of the Christians and the people they disagree with.

Yes, uh, she is outrageous.

We're coming out of the summer of outrageous comments from the DSA and Hasan Piker and Abdul El-Sayed, and I keep wondering when are we gonna hit bottom?

Right.

There felt like there was a lot of terrorism that was making the news all of the time.

And there was the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris, which was shocking for everybody, completely out of the blue, was a very different type of terrorism than we'd seen before.

And I remember my boss at the time, who was French, being obviously, rightly, completely upset and incensed by this, and was really focused on how he communicated internally and had an expectation that our CEO should message all of the employees in France.

So I had to have a very difficult conversation with her where I said, well, actually, there was a bomb attack in Istanbul, you know, last week where 50 people died on a bus.

Their graduate school of education created, quote, teaching beyond September 11th.

Now, you hear that and you might think, great, they're going to talk about the bombing of the USS Cole, the Cobar Towers, the attack in London, the Charlie Hebdo shooting, maybe the Achille lower cruise ship hijacked by the Palestine Liberation Front.

Instead, it talks almost exclusively about Islamophobia and basically speaks in the DEI verbiage that is incredibly commonplace both in K-12 schools and in higher education today.

Looking at the New York Post headline here, left accused of whitewashing 9-11 education in schools.

Charlie in the chat says, We invaded Afghanistan.

Al Qaeda invaded Congress.

Never forget.

Why do you go back to things like the Barbary Pirates and look at our history with Islam? All this stuff starts to fall apart when you start looking at like, The broader picture of this, because Islamists have attacked all sorts of people who have done absolutely nothing to them.

So you can't say it's that.

You also can't look at things like Charlie Hebdo or the Salman Rushdie attacks or any of those kinds of things.

Or not to mention, you know, Ayaan Hirsi Ali's general mutilation and all those kinds of things that she endured growing up.
