Charles Taplin

Uh, that's gonna be one place where MSU's gonna have to hit the portal pretty hard, but maybe you see a guy like Samson Gash move into a starting role next year.

Maybe you see Charles Taplin or another younger guy, uh, in this group take a bigger role next season.

[smacks lips] Okay, uh, next up is the tight ends, which is where there has been a bright spot.

That bright spot is sophomore or red shirt freshman, however, ter- whichever term you wanna use nowadays, Jaden Savory.

I don't know if I need 50 from Crisian McCray.

Like, Charles Taplin, 10 snaps.

Braylon Collier, nine snaps.

I, I don't, I don't think that they're going to save the season, but lordy, Steven, I, I'm sorry to do this not even halfway through the, the schedule here.

I think Crisan McCray, like, can he get in the ball a little more? He is going to be your best playmaker moving forward here.

Yeah, but I mean, how, how bad is Charles Taplin really looking at practice, or Braelon Collier, right? I, I wouldn't mind seeing a little bit more of those guys, A, just to, just to see, uh, can, can we get anything out of them? And B, I hate to be doing this in the fifth game of the season, but can we start building for the future too? Can we at least give these guys road Big Ten game looks to get them a little bit more iron forged for next season? It, it's not like I'm asking them to play over last year's Nick Marsh and Omari Kelly.

Like, no, th- this is a wide receiver room where I think you can start rotating in guys a little bit more until proven otherwise here.

So yeah, I'd love to see Charles Taaffe play a little more.

But they got a bunch of younger guys.

Charles Taplin had the big touchdown catch against Eastern Michigan.

I really think that tight end Jaden Savory has come along and is going to emerge as one of those kind of go-to guys.

And you need a good tight end for a young quarterback.

Cam Edwards, 21 carries, 152 yards, two TDs.

Charles Taplin, 65 receiving yards on three receptions and a touchdown.

And then Eli Conin had two sacks, while Brady Pretzlaff had eight tackles, two of them being so low.

Meanwhile, for the Eagles, Noah Kim goes 16 of 26, 118 yards.

8.50 left in the third.

21-7 Michigan State.

Charles Taplin, 38-yard touchdown pass from Alessio Melovis.

5.46 left in the third.
