Charles Officer

This is not that film.

Like, this film kind of made me think about a film I'd seen many years ago by another Toronto filmmaker, Charles Officer, Nurse.Fighter.Boy. And not because it had a direct connection to that, but just because it felt like a grounded kind of neighborhood film and dealt with people living in that city, right? Um, you know.

So, and a great filmmaker.

You should check that out.

And it just feels like that kind of idea of, of not feeling like you have a place, yet you are very specifically in this place of Toronto, that Nola's kind of grappling with throughout the entire film.

Firstly, thank- That's such a wonderful thing to note, uh, when it comes to me and my work, reminding you of Nurse.Fighter.Boy.

Uh, Charles Officer is very near and dear to so many of us working and, um, living in the Toronto film community.
