So you understand why people would start to have that notion that You know, we are so democratic, you know, but I understand why that is not necessarily the view of the more progressive part of the union.

Yeah, our opinion is, yeah, we're kind of democratic, but we should be more democratic.

The logistical question on the 410s resolution.

So I don't, okay, I have to doe a deer, a female deer, right? 410s is a discussion about a change in the way that letter carriers are scheduled from five, eight hour days to four, 10 hour days.

And this idea that There would be a transition comes directly from Renfro.

This was like one of the last things he did where we were all like, this is disgusting.

Everyone hated this.

Um, it was run by one of our actual lobbyists, Corey, and it was with two of our lobby lawyers, and there was a lot of discussion about what we do, and a big part of it was the LCLCs, the Letter Carrier Liaison program.

I guess I really want to, I know there's kind of been some discussion about, you know, in Washington, D.C., in your local, I want to encourage everybody to actually put together something at their local.

The reality is, fun fact, in Seattle, I'm not going to be able to drive to D.C. And the cost of a flight to D.C. is a little bit more than I can afford right now, given that I don't get paid very much because I'm a letter carrier at like Step D.

It's also important because, you know, we want to build support across the country.

It's good stuff.

Because they found out that their pension is being invested in Palantir, Geo Group, who does all the prisons, Palantir does all the surveillance, um, and also, you know, is really wrapped up with ICE, and also, uh, oil, coal, and honestly, a lot of companies that participate and, and, you know, work with the Israeli government in their ongoing genocide there, right? Um, so they were trying to argue against this by pushing forward more ethical standards for the pension board.

What did the AFL-CIO tell us? Uh, and they've told us for the last two years, which is we are not allowed to do that.

They've been pushing new rules every year that says, like last time they said, like it was actually too political that we were talking about Palestine, and that was going beyond what they were doing.

Well, this time we came up with a resolution that didn't actually center Palestine, centered the legislation, but we s- they said that legislation that had to do with a more ethical pension board was inherently a boycott.

Yeah, yeah.

So that we would not have actual power anymore.

And they, we had walked up to the line last year and then backed off because we, we didn't actually want to be trusteed.
