We have a, an exhibition, a charity exhibition at Koch Arena between Wichita State and Murray State, and Paul Mills addressed the media yesterday, and covered a lot of ground, really, uh, talking about individual guys, the total number of guys that'll be available tonight, the guys that won't, who's gonna play how many minutes, although he didn't totally go down and categorically chart it.

But, uh, they already have a good idea of who's gonna play how much.

And they also have two other closed door scrimmages that aren't exhibitions, but this one will be a 40-minute, uh, exhibition for charity.

Y'all ought to know that by now.

But at least where you can find it, uh, those, uh, those bits of info will be coming out fairly soon.

Uh, 19 regular season games at Koch Arena, the most in the regular...

in a regular season in program history, not including postseason or that downtown Intrust Bank Arena game.

On Wednesday, Wichita State's men's basketball team plays Murray State, six thirty PM in a charity scrimmage at Koch Arena.

Tickets are twenty dollars.

Proceeds will be split between the Wichita Children's Home and Cheese Johnson's You Jump mentoring program.

Tickets are also on sale for the Shocker basketball tip-off luncheon.

That is October twenty-third at eleven forty-five AM at Charles Koch Arena.

Wichita State's women's basketball team plays Newman University in an exhibition game on October twenty-eighth.

Baseball's three-game fall series starts at five PM Wednesday at Eck Stadium.

You get a, a full week to prepare for Charlotte in Wichita, Tulane on the road on March 3rd, and then you wrap things up with Tulsa on March 6th, which I think is very, uh, intriguing and enticing because if Tulsa is as good as the Golden Hurricane were last year- That will, um, I don't know if, if it's going to come down to the final game in terms of who's gonna be the regular season champs of the American Conference, but based on how you see things play out, the fact that that is the final game, wouldn't it be insane? Although you would rather have Wichita State wrap up the, the regular season championship well before then, 'cause you don't want that added pressure.

But in some ways, wouldn't it just be incredible to, to have a winner gets the regular season championship at Koch Arena? I think that would be absolutely absurd.

It'll be nuts.

Balance is what I see with this conference schedule for Wichita State.

I think that part is, is good.

But I will say January, though, that stretch where you do have Memphis, North Texas, Tulsa all on the road, fortunately for the Shockers, they are a very experienced team.

But going on the road to face those schools, it's going to be important for them to be able to pick up some wins away from, from Koch Arena.

They still should be the preseason favorite.

American Conference talk now.

Uh, before we get into the three schools that were, or apparently are courting the American, volleyball conference openers are tonight around the American, and it's a, uh, chance for two teams at Charles Koch Arena to flush a tough non-conference start.

That's Wichita State and Memphis.

More particularly, I'm talking about the Sa- the Saturday game against South Florida.

And then next week, Wichita State has midweek game with Tulsa here.

So the first three games in the American are at least at home, and it's a type of thing with Chris Lamb's volleyball team that you, uh, you really have to focus on the O and O part when it comes to American play after a really rugged non-conference schedule where they started out two and one, and since then they're one and eight, with the only win being against Florida Gulf Coast at Columbia, Missouri.

But Shockers and Memphis tonight, you're a volleyball fan, six o'clock, Charles Koch Arena.

And then South Florida comes in, again, one and nine, but they have lost to a slew of top 10 volleyball teams as the Bulls will no doubt be breathing fire coming up this weekend.

WSU volleyball opens American Conference play this weekend at Koch Arena.

At six p.m. Friday, the Shockers play Memphis on Mental Health Awareness Night.

So Wichita State announced yesterday that the Shockers will host Murray State in a charity exhibition at 6.30 on Wednesday, October 7th.
