Uh, Fitzgerald hasn't ruled him out for the season, so maybe he comes back at some point, uh, but still, uh, you, you, they're operating without their best corner right now.

Uh, you know, but Charles Brantley, uh, he's getting burnt quite a bit.

Uh, he, you know, he's not the same player, uh, not quite as effective, uh, of a corner as he was back when he was with the team in 2024.

And then Trey Bell has been, uh, he's been fine.

I can't remember exactly what the score was at that point, but you see what I mean.

Uh, but Nykia Martinez is, he's not as good as he was two years ago with Michigan State as well.

Talk about Charles Brantley not being as good as he was two years ago.

Kind of the same way with Nykia Martinez.

I don't exactly remember when he left the game.

Charles Brantley gets hurt, and he goes out of the game.

You already had- you're already without Tyren Chappell, who's your, who's really your most reliable corner.

Uh, Caleb Wheatland is already out for this game.

One of the ta- one of the touchdowns MSU allowed, just, uh, kind of a total whiff on the tackle, uh, from Nakai Martinez, who has not, not been great.

Not been great for Michigan State, uh, in the secondary during this one.

Charles Brantley had seven tackles.

Uh, that's not great when your, your corner has that many tackles in a game, 'cause that usually means guy, that he's getting targeted.

Uh, but you know, T- Tyren Chappell, who I think is their most reliable corner, he's out again for this coming week, and Trey Bell is listed as questionable, though I'd have to guess he's gonna play because Trey Bell played last week and, you know, questionable.

We'll, I mean, we'll, we'll see, but there's a non-zero chance if he's on the injury report that he might miss the game, so Charles Brantley has to step up.

Uh, but again, your key reserves, Keishon Williams, I, I think they're both still out.

I'm, um, I'm forgetting all the names right now.

But yeah, Na- Najee Burt and Keishon Williams are both out, so those are your two main backups right there are also out.

Trey Bell can't go.

Uh, you know, you have Charles Brantley, and you'll probably see, it was Jeremiah Favorite last week, a true freshman stepping out for, on the outside for Michigan State, so they really need Trey Bell in this game.

Uh, we'll have to s- this, I'm recording this on late Friday morning actually.

I do wonder what it looks like, especially against a secondary that is banged up.

Now Chuck Brantley, he did play more solid than he has been in the last game.

Can we keep that momentum snowballing into something great? Hopefully, that seems like more like hopium than an actual possibility, but hey, you know what? Prove me wrong, please.

Charles Brantley, we, we already had seen him.

I mean, he hardly even counts as a true get, because I- like it seemed like Brantley wanted to come back after that weird year he had in Miami.

But the list was relatively short and certainly not long enough to create a truly great football team in year one with Pat Fitzgerald.

So we'll see af- we'll have to see how that looks this coming game, uh, as well.

But in terms of how this secondary and how this linebacker corps is going to work, the starters, the guys who played the most snaps in that Nebraska game when the guys were all hurt, uh, Charles Brantley's still available.

Uh, he played okay in that Nebraska game, but he has not been good this year.

He has not been up to expectation this year.

Um, but, but we'll see.

If Trey Bell, he's questionable.

If he's able to play, he'll start next to Charles Brantley, but you might have to rotate Brinson in.

So those are gonna be some guys to watch there.

But yeah, if you go ahead and blitz, uh, y- maybe your corners can stay sticky with their receivers, which actually does include former Spartan Tyrell Henry.

How about that? How about that? So guys, yeah, uh, we're looking at corners being Chuck Brantley, Andrew Brinson, maybe true freshman Jeremiah Favorite.

Even your linebackers are, are banged up, guys.

Venice, Florida guy, same high school as Damon Wilson.

Same high school as Charles Brantley, who's actually playing for Michigan State.

Not playing particularly well, but he's playing for Michigan State.
