And so we have to rely on the testimonies and reports of the men who survived at the pointy end.

Fortunately for us, we had Charles Bean on the job, and he spoke to many of those survivors and was able to piece it all together for the official history, which is where I'm getting all this information from, and from which I will now enlighten you.

The problems began even before the men of the 7th Brigade made it to the jumping off point.

And in between the beautiful gardens and memorials that are here is a spectacular museum.

You've got to see this with your own eyes because you can see not just the history, but you can feel the love behind every artefact.
