Had a touchdown reception and a 52-0 win over Channel Islands on Thursday.

Oxnard 8-4 opens Channel League play with the game at home against San Marcos on Wednesday.

That's a big game.

That is later tonight.

Definitely.

Yeah, Channel League flag football going crazy, going crazy this year.

And then on the boys' side, we have Ventura Jr., football star Tristan Savage.

He finished with 224 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns to help the Cougars get a 26-24 win over Lakewood last Friday.

So that was a great way to start week zero, to have that in the paper.

If I don't do a good job to explain it, it's going to be super confusing, because what happened last year when re-leaguing occurred at Camarillo is that the athletic directors of the Marmonte League specifically asked the, uh, football coaches to rename their leagues new na- new names.

And because that happened, the Channel League named themselves the Coastal 101.
