Champagne Problems

[laughs]

December 11th, the next day, Evermore releases, and William Bowery, Joe, is listed as a co-writer on champagne problems, coney island, and evermore, as well as being the pianist on evermore.

The song, you know, not the entire album.

[laughs]

On December 15th, Taylor interviewed with Zane Lowe about Evermore, and Joe is brought up several times.

So we're just gonna go through each of these pieces.

Let's talk about Champagne Problems.

I'll be Zane Lowe.

I started listening to Evermore after this and after you talked about it.

I literally can't even listen to Champagne Problems-

Yeah

... because I'm like, "She's, like, a genius who has lost her gift because of that football, football player."

If it is by a small chance a real relationship, it's a very shallow relationship that they have fundamentally bonded on their like love of fame.

Mm-hmm.

And more than anything, his point that was really interesting was like, he was like, "Maybe it is a real relationship, but the difference is all of her other paramours and muses were not..." Like, think about Champagne Problems-

Mm-hmm

Oh, yeah

... he's the one that leaves, like Champagne Problems?

Oof.

Oh, that song.

That's Taylor Swift's song.

Champagne Problems? You think that's a Taylor Swift song? Yeah.

I think that is too.

Champagne Problems.

Problems.

It is both.

At least three of her songs.

The first one that was released was Champagne Problems, where the lyric is, she would have made such a lovely bride, what a shame she's fucked in the head.

She would have made such a lovely bride, what a shame she's fucked in the head.

And then the next two songs are both from Midnight's, which was her most recent album.
