Chama

So we didn't really get together a lot, um, honestly.

So there's one place the, the f- the, the Uncer side of the family got together and that was Chama.

Was what?

New Mexico.

Okay.

It's up north three hours.

My dad, my mom used to leave my dad and go up to Chama.

Real beautiful place.

He was getting his bow ready for hunting season, and just out, totally out of the blue, um, he just made me an unbelievable, you know, opportunity, you know, brought me an unbelievable opportunity.

He's like, "Hey, man." He's like, "I have this ranch down in Chama, New Mexico." Um, he's like, "I haven't ever hunted it.

It's not been hunted.

There's, you know, a good, a good elk herd there, a lot of bulls.

So he's like, "Call around to some outfitters and try to get a tag." I've never done any of this.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, okay, frame of reference.

So it was in unit four in Chama, New Mexico.

Unit four, the entire unit is privately owned.

I guess what I'm saying is, like, certain parts of Northern Mexico are, you know, not areas that a lot of people have explored.

Like Chama was a new place for us.

You know, Eagle's Nest is one that's often overlooked.

Really cute.

Detour or extension if you're in Santa Fe or Taos or Albuquerque or something.

And

you go through a little town called Chama, which is one of the ones that's on my radar.

It's very, very underrated.
