There's a lot of stuff in Germany and France, UK, Australia.

And it's just becoming easier.

And some of them are trials, some of them early stage commercializing.

And despite being originally hampered by a small battery and slow CHAdeMO charging, he took his wife and dog and son right the way across Europe on numerous occasions.

Spain, Portugal, even Slovenia.

Since then, he's upgraded the battery and bought a Chad Motor CCS converter to allow him to use a much wider range of chargers.

Then there's the plug.

So early doors, Nissan Leafs and some others were using CHAdeMO.

And in Japan, CHAdeMO is still very popular.

That's a DC charging system that's been used for vehicle to grid for years.

The things that I've seen happening this year have made me really hopeful that after years, a decade, of V2G trials all around the world, in Japan with CHAdeMO, and look, and it works.

When you look at the mindset of people that are new to this industry, new to the vehicles, they don't know about this stuff.

They look at a CHAdeMO plug like it's an alien technology, and they're afraid that they're going to pull up and the navigation system is going to send them to this site where the plugs won't match.

So seeing that mature from where we were a certain amount of years ago to now where – Other than, unfortunately, Nissan LEAF owners and a few other Kia Soul legacy vehicles that use CHAdeMO, most of the new sites that are being installed now, anybody can use.

including the Tesla sites.

And there's multiple plugs.

What was the best thing I drove then? I don't know.

Oh, that was weird, wasn't it? We both went out in the new Mitsubishi Outlander FEV, and then for some reason you decided to inspect the charge port, and we found a CHAdeMO under there.

It's a bit weird.

So we were going to ask, weren't we, what the story was, and I think we got distracted by a shiny thing.

But I wonder if that's like pre-production one from Japan that's been sent over, or if it's going to have CHAdeMO.
