I'm just telling you to keep all of this in mind when the playoffs start.

Because if Jermaine Jones starts getting in there and Duran or Anthony or Gasper comes out and Gasper doesn't DH against lefties and it's Jones, then this is going to put a lot of stress and a lot of onus on the decision-making of Chad Tracy and of the organization.

This is what they've built.

Create an environment around the players that was supportive, that would allow them to thrive, and they responded.

I mean, I can't help but read that and say, oh, so the atmosphere around them before Chad Tracy got there was not supportive and did not allow him to thrive.

So clearly, Craig Breslow looked at it and said, Alex Cora and the coaching staff were responsible for the underperformance of our players.

The fact that you look at the start that they had and the fact that they're a playoff team, I mean, they were a train wreck to start off the season.

And Chad Tracy's just done a really nice job, um, getting them back to, like, a net neutral.

Like, they're a really talented team.

They're probably a year or two away from, [lip smack] from really being a championship contender because Roman Anthony's still really young and, um, you got some really young starting pitchers as well.

So yeah, I, I, I gotta give a little love to Chad Tracy.

I gotta give a little love to, to Don Mattingly.

Yeah, I mean, look, and Mickey Gasper has been great this month.

He's, he's in there once again as the DH, and a lot of these guys are guys that Jim, you know, Jim Tracy [laughs] Cha- Tracy is familiar with, I call them his dad there, is familiar with, uh, in terms of managing them in Triple-A.

And the team has some good juju right now, so maybe they don't wanna mess that up.

But I'll tell ya, they better not fool themselves, and Tracy better not fool himself into thinking that they can have this deep playoff run that Breslow has insisted from the outset the team was built for, even though it's a completely different team at this point than the initial one he sold us, uh, without Roman Anthony.
