Ceylon tea

after lunch i take a break at cyanco cafe just around the corner it is a quiet spot with ceiling fans spinning lazily and the smell of roasted coffee beans hanging in the air i order a single origin pour over which costs about 800 rupees it is a luxury compared to the 60 rupee milk tea but the quality is undeniable.

Sri Lankan coffee is often overshadowed by Ceylon tea, but the highlands produce some exceptional beans.

I sit there and write in my notebook, sketching the layout of the ruins from memory.

The rain has stopped completely now, leaving the world washed clean and shimmering.
