Cerise Castle

And I think even though it was an LAPD, it was the L.A. Sheriff's Department.

But I think about when sheriff when Alex Villanueva was sheriff and he was stalking Cerise Castle, the journalist, you know, because she was writing about deputy gangs.

So imagine if they wanted to retaliate against activists and or journalists, they will now have these license plate reading cameras that can just find out where you were, who you interviewed, even if your source is confidential, and where you're going so that they're...

And just the potential for constitutional problems with this are so huge.

Robert Luna versus Alex Villanueva.

If you want to go back to the mini MAGA sheriff that we had, who was targeting journalists like Cerise Castle for writing about deputy gangs.

If you want to go back to the days of a sheriff who is at war with the LA County Board of Supervisors and Arrest Supervisors, then you're going to want to vote Alex Villanueva.

If you want to stay where we are right now with Robert Luna, who succeeded him, and the current sheriff, then you're going to vote for Luna.

I am your host, Gabe Dunn.

Do you want to tell my audience who you are and what you do and also what your book is about?

Yeah, sure.

And thank you so much for having me back, Gabe.
