So my old club up in Townsville, Centrals-

Given the sadistic nature of her injuries, police suspected she'd been the victim of a sex attacker, as across that era, and in eerily similar ways, the murders of several women and girls had gone unsolved.

14th of September, 1954, having attended a party in London's West End, 21-year-old costumier, Jean Mary Townsend, caught the last Central Line tube train to South Ruislip.

At 11:45 PM, she exited the station, walked along Victoria Road, heading to her parents' house at Bempton Drive, but never arrived.

The next day, her body was discovered on the waste ground to the north side of Victoria Road.

Well, here's a couple of very quick stories.

One, I was traveling on the London Underground some years ago on the Central Line in a rush hour.

which is extremely busy um platforms are usually so crammed your shoulder to shoulder anyway i was waiting for a train and these trains come about every two minutes and just as the train was coming in i got a bit of dust in my eye so i automatically wiped my finger across my eye hoping it would get rid of it but unfortunately um as the doors on the train opened my eye popped out bounced on the platform and uh i said oh damn and some guy said are you okay and i said my eyes just popped out so he says in a very loud voice hang on everybody, this guy's just lost an eye.

And I've never seen a platform clear so quick.
