Central Lake

The crash remains under investigation.

A historic former pharmacy building in Central Lake has been demolished after safety concerns involving an attached garage and the need for soil cleanup.

The building shared a load-bearing wall, making it necessary to remove both structures.

The pharmacy dated back to around the turn of the 20th century and was built with bricks.

manufactured locally.

This demolition also leaves Central Lake without a local pharmacy, meaning residents must travel to Bel Air for prescriptions.

The property owner plans to build new retail space and is gathering community input on what businesses residents would like to see.
