Like, Arkansas is impressive.

They

suck, but Arkansas is impressive.

Mississippi State, who's currently good – Loud, tough atmosphere, you know? And everybody else that you can name, we're talking about giant stadiums.

Giant, you know? And packed every week, and there's a fervor and a passion bordering on an absurdity for the sport every Saturday.

Like, oh, buddy, man, three games set this weekend.

And even at a place like Vandy where they have an elite baseball school.

What about this defense makes you think they could stop anybody?

They couldn't get Central Arkansas off the field.

Good answer.

All right.

There aren't indicators that they'll beat

Clemson.

They struggled with New Mexico State, and they lost the time of possession to Central Arkansas 40-20.

It doesn't bode well for this.

who scored, how they did it, who the leading rusher and passers were, and that kind of thing.

And the headline was something about Danzy and Boggs play well, or Acroma and Boggs play well, or Shine is offense, you know, rolls past Central Arkansas.

And, man, there was like 20 people ripping me for using rolls.

And I'm like, okay, what word would you use when you win by 27 points? And it's 24-0 in the second quarter.

And, you know, here's some statistics that Todd Bowles might have missed.

David Walker, he had 39 sacks in college, right, between two stops, Southern Arkansas and Central Arkansas.

Say what you want about the level of competition.

He's in the NFL now.

Walker had 39 sacks in college.

He had 82.5 tackles for loss.

He set a school record with 63 tackles for loss in his three years at Central Arkansas.

I think the guy can make some tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

They have not been going for the style points against their cupcakes on the schedule.

They didn't do it against New Mexico State, and they even got into a little bit of trouble in that game, and they didn't do it against Central Arkansas.

So what does that mean? Because their offense scored on Alabama, who I still think has a very good defense, and they scored at will in that game.

I think the way you get Florida State is you've got to score.

They should, you know, for for the most part, aside from the West Virginia game, right, the second, third and fourth quarters against West Virginia.

But but to me, I'm sure I'm sure that's part of the strategy this week.

Let me finish up the thought I was getting at with Florida State against New Mexico State and Central Arkansas.

It seemed as if they were just trying to cloak a lot in those two games.

We'll get into the Noles, of course.

Who did they play again? Central Arkansas.

They had the ball for 40 minutes in that game.

Central Arkansas.

40 minutes.

Yeah.

They're also looking to just not get blown out and not get 70 points scored on them.

So they're really looking to do a lot of things like shortening the game, which is very much what Central Arkansas in their game plan was, is to shorten the game, not make it any bigger than it's going to have to be as far as the blowout goes, cover a spread, if you will, and that it's not quite the ability that you used to have Where you would just blow a team like this out 50 to nothing.

And then the second quarter, second half, you get to work the young guys because they're storing their offense.

And, you know, it's a good question.

It's more on this defense to counteract that.

Like, yeah, you may not get the extra 20 plays that you would have five, 10 years ago, but that's still no excuse.

A lot of team like central Arkansas have 40 minutes in the time of possession.

Mike was asked about some of the younger guys and what he did like, you know, he shouted out Karan Maycock and Noah LaValle on defense, Jordan Crutchfield.

So that's not great.

Florida State 2-2.

They beat Central Arkansas 34-7.

They did not cover the 45.5 last week.

Last year, Virginia beat Florida State 46-38 in double overtime.
