So earlier this year, if you've read the chemical watch news and insight website you may have read this story if you're in the thermal paper area more than 160 retailers manufacturers and receipt paper distributors agreed to stop using receipt paper containing bps or other intentionally added phenols to settle these prop 65 claims that were brought about by the environmental group the center for environmental health uh commonly known as ceh But the bigger development here is that there was also a separate settlement between CEH and Domtar.

And they told us, I asked Domtar about this, and they told us that they expected to transition to phenol-free paper, receipt paper nationwide by the end of the year.

And finally, from the Center for Environmental Health, published in The Conversation, 90% of store receipts, what they give you when you leave, "Do you want your receipt?" Contains harmful chemicals linked to cancer, autism, and obesity.
Gary NullHOST

Whoa, brand-new information.

Here's what it says: "Approximately 90% of store receipts contain toxic biphenyl chemicals, including BPA and BPS, which are endocrine disruptors linked to serious health problems.
