and i pretty much nailed what everything he then did go on to say i didn't have him saying we could have scored six or seven dead easy and that was even beyond my expectations but um
StevenPANELIST
40:46
yeah the interesting thing was i think if you did you i don't know if you've seen the celtic tv uh post-match interview which is generally a load of nonsense and nothing much controversial.
StevenPANELIST
40:59
But the interviewer, even on Celtic TV, seemed to turn on the criticism a little bit.
StevenPANELIST
41:05
And he was saying like, you know, Martin, yeah, I know we had all these chances and all that, but do you not think we bring a lot of these problems on ourselves by not defending, et cetera, et cetera? And Martin O'Neill kind of bristled a bit at that.
StevenPANELIST
41:20
So I think you'll find probably the guy interviewing him won't be doing it again next week.
StevenPANELIST
41:27
But it's interesting that even the Celtic TV interviewers are starting to have a go.
GavHOST
41:36
I wonder is Tanner Baugh a friendly figure there or not? It's hard to say.
GavHOST
41:43
Yeah.

so this is the quotes from Cal McGregor I think you're seeing it a lot more it's not really having a nailed down profile for each position the players behave like a winger or they behave like a striker it's talking about like Osman and Duran You can get away with it for a few games, but if a striker is playing as a winger, you're going to get the behaviour a lot of the time.
JackGUEST
9:09
You've got enough quality so you can score goals and get away with it, but we have to try to get to team functioning the way it should.
GavHOST
17:02
Was really unhappy with that first half performance, but then thought of how rejuvenated Martin O'Neill feels and that lame scales is Irish.
GavHOST
17:11
And then Celtic TV reminded me that we were good in Europe just six decades ago.
GavHOST
17:17
Maybe I'm just an ungrateful sod.
GavHOST
17:19
That ties in quite a few of the points already made, Brian.

DavidPANELIST

I would be surprised if O'Neill's still on a job by January, by the end of January, to be honest, if we don't change the midfield.
DavidPANELIST
67:34
if we insist on playing with two strikers either side of them instead of with two proper wingers that we have at our disposal.
BrianHOST
67:43
Did anyone hear, sorry David, last night, He was in commentary on Celtic TV.
BrianHOST

Granty was on.
Alan MorrisonHOST

There's an archive

on Celtic TV, Alan.
JamesHOST

You've got plenty of free time.
JamesHOST

You can go back and redo those
DaveHOST
36:42
How does that compare to your experience of attending sports stateside?
MattGUEST
36:47
Yeah, and even though I haven't been to a home match for Celtic, certainly the Celtic TV experience for any North Americans or anyone across the world not in the UK or Ireland is certainly you get the full Celtic experience of not getting your value for your money with feeds frequently getting cut for whatever reason, no score bugs with the time or score, no the audio going in and out, the audio being ahead of the action, being behind the video.
MattGUEST
37:15
So yeah, so even from Celtic TV, you don't get that experience.
MattGUEST
37:18
But comparing American sports and Celtic and other clubs in the UK, it's interesting because like I mentioned, I think American teams, a lot of times they're trying to get as much money out of the team as they can, their ownership and the front office.
MattGUEST
37:38
But they don't do that kind of in a outwardly capitalistic way, like just charging a higher price for everything.
DanielHOST
20:52
No, in a good way.
DanielHOST
20:53
In the last couple of weeks, obviously, we came back from the international break and he sat down with Celtic TV and he said, those three results aren't the end of the world.
DanielHOST
21:04
I mean, to kind of underplay just how bad the results are for not only that run of games, but for the season.
DanielHOST
21:13
We're out of the first tournament, the first opportunity of silverware.
Gordon DuncanHOST

Martin O'Neill speaking.
Gordon DuncanHOST
2:24
I know he spoke to Celtic TV, but that aside, speaking publicly, uh, for the first time about his decision to stay.
Gordon DuncanHOST
2:31
Says it was an easy decision.
Gordon DuncanHOST
2:32
Says if there hadn't been an international break to mull it over, he probably wouldn't even have mentioned it and would have just cracked on.
HarperHOST
34:32
See, when you're talking about the home commentary almost being biased, that actually puts me off.
HarperHOST
34:39
If I'm ever watching Celtic on Celtic TV, the Celtic TV commentary actually puts me off because they're so biased.
HarperHOST
34:46
I'm like, just fucking comment on the game that you're watching.
HarperHOST
34:49
You don't have to make things that are not real because you're a Celtic man.
John McGinleyHOST
2:28
I, I said a couple of weeks ago, this is the most likely outcome of what would happen.
John McGinleyHOST
2:32
There was a lot of noise, there was a lot of speculation, but I just had a feeling that we were always gonna get this Martin O'Neill Celtic TV interview in which he kind of tries to move on from that press conference after the Rangers game, which I think we can all agree was not Martin O'Neill's best press conference in his life, where he kind of doubted himself a little bit.
John McGinleyHOST
2:52
He said he had to have time to reflect.
John McGinleyHOST
2:54
It raised all sorts of furore around his future and, like, how he's feeling and whether he's best suited to take Celtic on.
John McGinleyHOST
3:05
Martin O'Neill wants to continue.
John McGinleyHOST
3:07
That's what we now know.
John McGinleyHOST
3:09
Um, he sat down with Paul Cudihy, uh, in about a 10-minute interview on Celtic TV last night, and this was the, the, the result, really.
John McGinleyHOST
3:18
He said, "You can lose to your archrivals.
