Celebrity Solstice

And our polar bear, Our knight riding the polar bear is making his way across the world.

Right now, it's with Chris Peck on the Celebrity Solstice going on a cruise, Trans-Pacific cruise, and he brought the pin with him.

And so here's our knight riding the polar bear on the balcony.

Oh, wow.

So this is on Celebrity Cruise Line on the Celebrity Solstice, leaves October 2nd.

Again, leaves Honolulu, visits Papeete, Raiatea in French Polynesia, Morea, and then three ports, including Auckland in New Zealand, ending in Sydney.

Wow.

I didn't think so.

But that's exactly what members of the Royal Canadian Air Force did after a passenger aboard the Celebrity Solstice became critically ill while the ship was about 125 miles off the coast of British Columbia.

The call came in before 4 in the morning, and the Canadian military dispatched a CH-149 Cormorant helicopter along with a Kingfisher aircraft.

When rescuers reached the ship, two search and rescue technicians were lowered from the helicopter onto the deck.

The program leaned into enrichment, live music, trivia, and traditional production shows, and the fair itself was relatively straightforward, with plenty of things included.

Celebrity had two main ship classes, Millennium and Solstice, and both delivered that same overall experience.

You knew what Celebrity stood for and roughly what sort of cruise you were going to get every single time.

Now that started to change around six years ago and the pace of change has accelerated.

Some passengers like the extra interior space and the modern design.

But many traditional cruisers, like me, want to open a door, step outside and sit on a proper balcony.

All cabins are also more contemporary style throughout the ship, and to my eye, they feel a little bit less cozy than those on Millennium and Solstice class ships.

Celebrity also abandoned the idea of one large main dining room on these new ships too.
