They won the Celebration Bowl in 2023.

They have been a 500 team the last two years.

So you don't give up those traditions.

Tim, I just want to stroll back down memory lane because, you know, you have the HBCU National Championship, the Cricket Celebration Bowl, but there was a time when the SIAC winner would take on the CIAA winner.

Do you remember that time when they would play in kind of their own bowl game, it seemed like?

Yeah, it was.

Oh, man.

Goes back-to-back Celebration Bowl champions.

It certainly looks like we're on a collision course.

It does, doesn't it? Unless Alabama State or Jackson can somehow get in the way of that.

It's something that shows that, hey, I'm going to go with the skill set of my team, of the skill set that I'm able to build through recruiting, and the skill set that works best for me to get Ws.

Because it led to eight victories last year, and one went away from the Crete Celebration Bowl.

And so now it looks as if he's here, too.

He's going with the same approach.

particularly when they are live, is a sense of community that is inspiring.

And when I mean that, I mean the Celebration Bowl in December, the Swag Me Act Challenge that just passed.

And so for those who are keeping track this weekend, I didn't even know, for example, that Bill Belichick won, apparently.

My thing is, if I could make one modification to this, I would put the numbers up on the shoulder, and then where the numbers are, I'd put the snake head.

Like we always do at this time, the season starts and ends here in Atlanta, and the excitement is through the roof for this HBCU football season considering the way it ended last year in that four overtime thriller in the Celebration Bowl.

South Carolina State, a top of the football world in the HBCU space, but a lot of challengers.

Jay Walker, who's in the mix?

Yeah, to me, honestly, the most interesting one is Prairie View A&M going to Tarleton State.

Prairie View A&M was in the Celebration Bowl last year.

I really like just where they're going as a program under head coach Jermaine Jackson.

Then you have Tarleton State, who obviously is trying to move up the ladder, not only subdivision-wise, but also just in the FCS and trying to compete for a national title.

So it's one of those games where you have – One team that is vying for a Celebration Bowl and another team that is vying for an FCS National Championship.

You know, especially when Deion Sanders was at Jackson State, there was a lot of social media discourse about what was better, winning the Celebration Bowl or competing in the FCS playoffs.

And so that's just a really fun non-conference matchup right there.

Monmouth and Tennessee Tech is another interesting one as well.
