Cedros Island

So one day, yeah, it kind of sucks that people aren't making money, But, you know, it's better to be safe.

And I actually just saw a video a couple of hours ago of all the long-range sport boats at Cedros Island that were all on anchor, kind of hiding from the storm.

Yeah, I've seen that too.

There were like five or six of them that were just all hanging out in the same place.

We're going to come back, sell this turkey, and build a proper cruising dock.

And we were anchored off Cedros Island, which is a large island offshore of Baja, California.

And it was one of those nights where the lights are twinkling and clear, and I knew enough about weather at that point that we had to keep our eyes open.

And there were four or five Mexican trawlers anchored about a mile north of us, waiting to go out for the evening.

About an hour after that, it was blowing 50 knots in the anchorage, and this was what's called a Santa Ana condition.

Where you get high pressure inland, and it pumps out of the valleys, and it was really honking.

And so we were at the north end of Cedros Island.

It's all barren, no languages, no protection from the east.
