CD Eldense

Now, you can look at that in two different ways.

It's actually higher than the home average of four teams in the division, Eldense, Ceuta, Andorra, and Real Sociedad B.

But it's also Celta's lowest attendance of the season, um, partly because Real Sociedad bringing very few away supporters.

Um, but also it, it's some way short of the 11,400 average attendance for the division this term.

They're all on 11 points.

So Leganes, Las Palmas, Tenerife, Eldense, Celta, Fortuna, Real Oviedo, and Granada all on 11 points.

Mm-hmm.

So it's suddenly bunched together out of nowhere.

No games Friday, but on Saturday, Angel Baena scored a doblete and they found Zolmarube to give 10-man Sabadell a 2-1 victory over Ceuta and maintain their excellent start to the season.

Eldense came from a goal behind against Cordoba to win 2-1 with a stoppage-time Fidel penalty that left Cordoba coach Ivan Ania fuming.

Both B teams clashed on Saturday night in Vigo with Celta Fortuna running out 4-1 winners in a game of attack, attack, attack.

On Sunday, Andorra scored early against Castellon and that is how it ended.

And one of the things that we touched on a lot was how much of a philosopher he was.

And pre-game, he basically said in the pre-match press conference, it's not about how many times you get knocked down.

And let's not forget, they were knocked down pretty solidly last match day with a 4-1 defeat away in Eldense.

Quite convincing defeat, that one, and a pretty poor performance.

Yeah, I mean, I've, I've got my eye, of course, on the Balearic Islands, and there are some Segunda teams coming to the Balearic Islands.

So from a purely selfish point of view, Ceuta come to Poblense, Eldense come to Atlético Baleares.

Um, so I shall be probably seeking out those two matches.

Watch them put them on the same night so I can't go to both.

He can still improve Oviedo's front line, though.

Yeah, Leo Messi has bought Eldense, by the way, in case you missed that.

It's a...

Slightly strange one, which I think we've mentioned previously and we will touch upon, I'm sure, in future episodes of the podcast.

Martin took pole position in qualifying today and retains the championship lead.

Lionel Messi has acquired Eldense, a Spanish Second Division football club, subject to approval.

Conor, what sort of club is he buying?

Eldense is nineteenth in a division of twenty-two after seven games.

The BBC says it has won once this season and has five points.

Katie, you have one more score for us.

Other proposals made include anti-eviction measures, automatically renewing rent contracts and help for first-time buyers.

And finally, Lionel Messi has completed his purchase of Spanish second division club CD Eldense.

The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is the second Spanish club that the Argentine legend has invested in, with the 39-year-old having bought Catalan side Cornella in April.

Club Deportivo Eldense officially announces the acquisition of the club by Lionel Messi, marking the start of a new and exciting chapter in the club's history which spans more than 100 years, CD Eldense stated on their official website.

The club are 19th in the 22-team Spanish second division, with one win and five points from their opening games.

And that's your Spanish news.

Girona-

Because we've played Girona, Eldense, uh, Sociedad, Celta, Fortuna.

You know, we've not played the hardest teams yet.

No. Girona are the only really good team we've played I would say.

Yes.

Spanish second division club CD Eldense.

Yeah, yeah.

100% ownership stake.
