The rites were presented on consecutive Wednesdays at London's Caxton Hall in October and November of 1910.

The advertised intent of the rites was to induce in the audience a state of religious ecstasy for a fee.

However, Crowley's attempt to ignite curiosity in the Order by producing the tedious rites failed.
