Are you ready? Let's go! On this week's episode of Tonight's Destination, we're headed underground to Lincoln Caverns in Huntington County, Pennsylvania, to the annual Ghosts and Goblins experience, which turns an already mysterious, spooky cave into something a whole different.

it's wonderful to be here thank you for having me i'm excited to uh share a bit about lincoln caverns and about our ghosts and goblins event

these name tags will be very simple they are just going to have what is called a player class on them and based on what that player class is our guides in the cave will have different reactions to people based on what they see

So how do you determine a player class from just meeting a person? Or is it just completely random?

So very few people who work at Lincoln Caverns are very into role-playing games and this type of thing.

There is a select few of us.

There's all these, uh, very, very interesting cave, cave drawings that have been found all over Northern Africa.

There's one that's called the Swimmer's Cave.

There's all these images of people that are swimming in, and there must have been lakes, right?

Within a few minutes the news had spread, and a dozen skiff-loads of men were on their way to McDougal's Cave, and the ferry-boat, well filled with passengers, soon followed.

But there are things far worse than cemeteries.

For instance, men with murder in their hearts, as in my story tonight, a story I call The Devil's Cavern.

[dramatic music] [thunder rolling] My story, The Devil's Cavern, begins in the desolate and remote mountain country of New Mexico.

It is early morning in a large hunting lodge.

John Drake, the noted naturalist and explorer, is speaking to his two nephews, Victor and Paul.

No, thank you, Uncle John.

Exploring caverns is hardly in our line.

But you can't go back to New York without seeing the Devil's Cavern.

Stayed at Fitzroy Crossing overnight that night.

And the next day we started our journey to the Mimby Caves, which is a home to the people of the Goonyandi people.

And it's a place of spiritual significance for thousands of years.

And we had the female elder who was lucky to get her, her auntie as they call them, through skin, and she was about to retire, but her knowledge was extreme of the cave system.

And there are a few lights in there, of course, because you'd be completely dark.

But you know what I'm saying? It's not a cave full of heaps of stalactites and all this sort of stuff.

It's not like the Genolan Caves, for example.
