We do have Group 1 racing this weekend though at Caulfield with the Underwood Stakes.

But a lot of the horses are accepted for both races, which does make it quite challenging.

the Melbourne Cup and the Cox Plate and was the early favourite for the Caulfield Cup as well.

She's still in both races, so it does make it a little bit challenging.

I wouldn't know where you'd find one.

But Jerry G Jr. is in care in a place down in Caulfield, a suburb of Melbourne, and Mervyn has been down

to visit.

But not insulting him with his trademark zingers, I hope.

They put $1,000 together.

We put a $2,000 deposit on an $18,000 property in Larch Street, South Caulfield.

in Melbourne and the Whitlam government came in, inflation grew up, went up.

So in fact, in a couple of years time, that had created enough equity, just like you say, to allow me to buy my second property.

Hey, we got $12 a week rent and we're excited in those days.

Having said that, I bought it back from my mother in late 1990s, early 2000s, I think, for $250,000, so $18,250.

Pam and I have since built two townhouses on it, so I still own the first investment property I've got in the southeastern suburb of Caulfield in Melbourne, and they're probably worth about $4 million.

So that first property was the starting point and the stepping stone and gave me the equity.
