Catwoman: When in Rome

Bruce tells her to get out of Dodge and she's because she thinks that she might be the illegitimate daughter of Carmine Falcone.

And so she leaves and she goes to Rome and we get a really cool Catwoman story by Jeff Loeb and Tim Sale called When in Rome.

Well, some people think it's cool.

I really like it.

You know, I, I guess, uh, 'cause I guess this, they, they...

Some people are calling this the capper of the trilogy, but you got Catwoman: When in Rome in there.

So, but this overall, The Long Halloween world.

Yeah.

So that's, that's cool.

I, I, I like that this exists, and it's a fun part of the world.

I think I would put this, um, in that category of I probably won't read it as much as I, as I read The Long Halloween, so it fits in that, in that category with Dark Victory and Catwoman: When in Rome.

Mm-hmm.

Originally, they wanted to do where when she leaves, I think at Valentine's Day, they launched the six issues of Catwoman.

When in Rome, yes.

And so kind of like concurrently.

So while she's absent in this and you're reading it, you're reading about what she's doing.

It's phenomenal.

Also.

That is a well-drawn Selina Kyle in Catwoman 1 in Rome.

Sale was like, yeah, I'm going to amplify the looks.

I'm your host, Anthony Desiato.

Joining me to discuss Batman: Dark Victory, along with Catwoman: When in Rome by Jeff Loeb and Tim Sale, is one of the hosts of The Comic Binge and a first-time guest on this show, Javi Trujillo.

Welcome.

Hey, thanks for having me, man.
