Totally.

And yeah, this idea of there is yourself when you're doing the thing and then there's the rest of your life and how do they impact each other? I think it's really important for us to see them as interconnected and how the rest of your life is going is going to affect, oh, this two hour block of time you set aside to work on your book.

If the rest of your life is garbage and you're tired and exhausted, that is not going to be a good two hours.

You can be working on your creative practice when you're not producing the creative project or document, you know, it's all connected.

And I do talk about this a lot with clients.

And something that you were saying earlier about the importance of fun and people pushing back on what fun can mean or like there's serious things in the world and you can't just be thinking about fun.

I have no time for small talk, so you just dig in.

And I love that we're approaching the conversation in this way because it's almost like a live action creative process that's happening.

So it's very meta as we approach the topics.

With creativity and trust, something that I think comes into play with all of that, with both of those things and more is a sense of presence and identity, not to start bringing in the other big things right away here, but To trust for myself, to trust myself as an artist and then act on that in imperfect actions, which I think is a big part of being an artist, is being willing to take imperfect actions.

To be able to trust myself, I need to be present enough with myself.

And that is this ongoing relationship that I have to creativity where I see it as a constant return over and over to revisit and be present with oneself because our identities change so much over time.
