Cate Le Bon

I think it's really richly textured.

I was getting kind of elements of someone like Kate Le Bon off it.

I did feel, unfortunately, in other locations in the album, I just felt maybe the vocal treatment wasn't great.

There was just elements that just felt slightly unfinished off of it.

Dry Cleaning released Joy, where Florence Shaw actually tries singing for once.

Kate Le Bon produced it.

Post-punk perfection.

And then there's Memorials, featuring members of Electrolane and Wah.

cool.

I just went to Kate Le Bon on the weekend.

It was pretty

amazing.

So then, yeah, I finally checked out Secret Love, and wouldn't you know, after repeated listens, I now love this album.

The credit for this magic trick goes largely to Kate Le Bon, the Welsh artist and increasingly in-demand producer.

During that KEXP appearance and the interview afterwards with Cheryl Waters, The band credited Le Bon with being an emotional connector and an intense perfectionist who demanded dozens of takes at times.

Seriously, the bassist was lamenting the 75 takes that she let him through at one point.

But for you artists, I think it's really important, isn't it, that Green Man brings in this incredible lineup of musicians.

And, I mean, as you say, playing the far out and, you know, Kate Le Bon is on the mountain stage and all of these ideas and so many Welsh bands throughout the line of the settlement as well.

It's like, because in Welsh language Wales, we've got the National Eisteddfod.

Yeah.

I was in Poneke with my mum, who's doing well, which was awesome, and we just watched a lot of terrible TV, to be honest, and it was brilliant.

And I'm going to play Are You With Me Now from Kate Le Bon, because in one of the terrible TV shows, boy meets girl, boy makes mixtape for girl, boy puts Are You With Me Now by Kate Le Bon on mixtape for girl.
