Cat Glover

Can I throw something out there then, Hayley, to you? Okay.

Because we were just talking about Cat, and we know that the anniversary is coming up.

So when you're reading John's book, is there any particular memory about Cat that You can share, or is there, is there an emotion that comes up when you're reading some of the, the, the stories about cat and John's book?

Yeah, I mean, it's just, to be honest with you, it's the way she puts things and the way she says things, you know.

And like some of the bits that I have actually read.

But I think a bit like George Michael when he died as well, which is over here, there were loads and loads of stories that came out when George Michael died where it said oh he gave me money for IVF or he gave me money for a health procedure or he gave my friends charity a load of money to keep going when it was about to close but the one understanding was that you wouldn't tell anyone and Prince had loads of them and It was fun taking time to write the book because then when you take time to write a book, you find out lots of examples of these.

So from him going to an elementary school at the height of Purple Rain to him paying the funky drummer Clyde Stumblefield's medical fees to him trying to help out Sly Stone when Sly was in a bad way.

I'm just like you know they couldn't get a hold of him or I think he turned him down but you know there's lots and lots of examples of that and you know he's a very forgiving man because there's lots of stories about Prince you know rightly or wrongly that he could be quite tough with people you know he said himself he said I can be mean but He was also quite forgiving because, you know, big Chick Huntsbury, who's kind of immortal again, a bit like Cat.

And yet, it's a deal, and I have to report it.

Anyway, in 2024, choreographer, dancer, and singer Kat Glover passed away at the age of 62 due to health complications.

She was revered for her collaborations with Prince on his Sign of the Times and Love Sexy album projects.

In 2024, renowned British composer and lyricist Ken Howard passed away at his home at the age of 84 alongside his partner Alan Blakely.

All right.

Uh, another story from Kat Glover.

Back in 1986, I was on Star Search, and one girl on Star Search with me invited me to Prince's house for dinner.

I was wearing purple.
