Castlefield

So there's that wee bit of competition as well where you're wanting to, like, you know, show...

But it was brilliant because we used to stay, it wasn't the, it was the Castlefield Hotel, not the Copthorn, Castlefield, and it had like a big indoor hall at the side of it, so you'd just be in like mucking about at the end of the night as well, so it just felt like a big holiday with what became like your mates, because you got to know each other after like a few times.

And the first time we went down, like round Lyttelton Road, and like the gaffer's standing watching, That's what I was

about to say.

We were piecing together a site.

We'd acquired an office building in the Castlefield area of Manchester and we acquired also a curtain factory which was next door to assemble the site.

There was a third piece of land the council owned.

So we'd done a really good job of piecing together the site, working with partners, and all of a sudden we were funding it with Moorfield again, and Moorfield phoned up the day after Brexit and said, well, there's no way we can fund it on the same terms as before Brexit, because our funders, their funders, will be saying...

In that year the men of Newcastle petitioned for and obtained their first license from Edward the Third to dig and to take coals and stone from certain portions of the land outside the walls of the town on the following terms: The King to his beloved Mayor and Bailiffs and good men of our town of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, greeting.

Because on your part petition has been made to us that we may be willing to concede to you that in the common ground of the town aforesaid without the walls of the same town in places called the Castlefield and the Frith you may have the power to dig and to take coals and stone from thence as often and in such a way as may seem to you to be expedient.

We favorably acceding to your petition in this matter have caused a license of this kind to be granted to you.

And this to you and others whom it may concern we signify by the present letter to have effect during our good pleasure.
