fishing with an air who, back in the day, if you remember, his hero was Casey Stoner, wasn't he? He was always the one he took about Casey.

And Casey was a big fisherman.

I wonder if that's how he thought, oh, I'll get into it.

Where did you see it? I sat just outside Curvone, which is pretty epic.

And it was in 2008, Casey Stoner was riding.

And I remember just like standing with my mouth ajar watching Casey go through there.

Like, what the fuck? That is insane.

We've had legends.

We've had Casey Stoner.

By the time it arrives, we'll know everything.

Casey Stoner, they'll tell us.

Well, as in it's not a home circuit because they don't train there.

And then if you're like a Casey Stoner, Senna Aegis, they haven't really grown up actually racing there because you only race there in domestic.

They're going straight to Asia Talent Cup, straight to Europe and they're gone.

It's just funny that Casey Stoner dominated for so long.

But it's still, you know, compared to racing in Aragon or Barcelona, we don't have that.

Well, it is the result from the wish, from the natural feeling from talented riders to bring their body both a lot to the inside, but also to the front.

It's great for the brand, but also Ducati had a really, really rough period after about, like, 2011.

It was something like, 2009 to-

'11 or '12

... 2011, somewhere around there, yeah.

Anyway, Casey Stoner won, like, some championships on the trot or whatever, really hot shit, and then left, and Ducati was just nowhere.

They lost their star rider.

Um, Rossi stepped in, won a race, and that was it.

So I've had a bit of communication from the GP Corp here, and they're trying to do a lot of media stuff leading up to the race.

They're trying to organize some really cool activities down at the Grand Prix and get all of our past Australian champions involved, including Wayne Gardner, Mick Dewan, Casey Stoner.

So there's going to be lots going on.

I think Mark Webber's coming along.

If you look back, when I start thinking about special Grand Prixs, and I look at some of the 89 and the 91s, because I'm old enough to sort of vaguely remember those, and then when they came back from sort of 96 onwards and Mick winning there, and we've had so many special moments, those Rossi ones, and then those really close races where there's 15 or 20 passes on the last lap with a group of six or seven, and who's going to get to the finish line first? So,

and obviously the Stoner era, which I was part of.

I never got to see Casey because I was so far behind him.

MotoGP from Shanghai, Rossi Rises, first win for the Doctors since Portugal last year.

Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa was second and defending world champion from Auslan, Australia, Casey Stoner third.

Nikki Hayden was the best placed American rider in sixth ahead of Colin Edwards in seventh.

A1GP final race of the 2007-2008 season took place at Brands Hatch near Kent, in Kent near London I should say.

I, I've always maintained, you know, I, I, I was always a fan, mainly because of Brands Hatch and other of it.

And, but he is, along with Casey Stoner, the fastest bloke I've seen in my life.

Yeah.
