On Friday, I played a really special show with my friends Joseph King and Casey McPherson, who I have not seen or played with in a while.

And I don't normally get to play with Joseph.

He lives in New York.

The day that this comes out, Friday, September 4th, I will be joining...

We're going to be doing an acoustic show tonight.

I used to really enjoy those shows, and I'm really looking forward to tonight.

Gang, I've had a great week.

What was that? That was like...

you know, Hugo and Shan and Shan's wife at the time and Casey McPherson singing.

And it was just kind of a throw together, fun side band.

Were you in that?

I was, I got thrown into that to play bass and, um, You know, for that era, I mean, Hugo kind of took me under his wing.

I was kind of, he was kind of my bud.

Him and Casey McPherson were really, you know, kind of my close peoples and their ladies, you know, and I hung out with them a lot.

So, you know, that's how I hung out with those guys and became part of that whole crew.

Before I go too far on that, I want to let you guys know that Joseph King...

And me and Casey McPherson from Alpha Rev and Endoshine and, of course, Casey McPherson are all doing a show together this Friday at the Volstead.

That's Friday, I guess, September 4th, whatever this Friday is coming up.

It's at 7.30.

My old friend, San Antonio rock and roll legend, Joe Reyes, plays guitar on the record, plays some stuff on the record.

And she also got Jeff Skunk Baxter from the Doobie Brothers.

And of course, Steely Dan, who I played with a couple of times when I was in this band, Endoshine, with none other than the aforementioned Casey McPherson.

Today's guest is Casey McPherson, CEO and co-founder of Alpha Rose Therapeutics.

Casey's path into biotech didn't begin the usual way.

He was a musician, songwriter, and father whose life changed when his daughter, Rose, was diagnosed with an ultra-rare neurogenetic disease.

And my plans for what I was going to do there got derailed because of something that happened with my band.

So I started a band, a progressive rock supergroup called Flying Colors with Mike Portnoy and Steve Morse and Neil Morse, Dave LaRue and Casey McPherson.

A bunch of hack musicians, all of them.
